1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using FTHA Results Service & PeliJS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and process your personal data.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is a free table hockey tournament management and statistics platform operated by Suomen Pöytäjääkiekkoliitto ry (Finnish Table Hockey Federation, "FTHA"). The Service provides tools for organizing tournaments, recording match results, maintaining player statistics, live scoring, and related features.

The Service is provided free of charge. No paid features or subscriptions are offered.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You may create an account using an email address and password or through Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at webmaster@poytajaakiekko.fi if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Age Requirements

Users under 16 years of age require parental or guardian consent to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account for a minor, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms of Service on their behalf.

4. Public Tournament Data

Tournament results, match scores, standings, player names, and rankings are publicly visible to all visitors of the Service. This is an essential part of the Service's function as a sports statistics platform.

By participating in tournaments managed through the Service, you consent to your name, match results, and performance statistics being publicly displayed.

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for all content you submit to the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Chat messages in live tournament sessions
  • Profile images
  • Player profile information

5.2 Content Rules

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Is illegal under Finnish or EU law
  • Is offensive, abusive, threatening, or harassing
  • Contains discriminatory language or hate speech
  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malware, spam, or misleading information
  • Impersonates another person or entity

5.3 Content Moderation

FTHA reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any user-generated content at any time, without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so at our discretion.

5.4 Content License

By submitting content to the Service, you grant FTHA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content as necessary to operate the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or related systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation, servers, or networks
  • Impersonate another user, player, or organization
  • Manipulate or falsify tournament results, scores, or statistics
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Suomen Pöytäjääkiekkoliitto ry and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

Tournament data (results, scores, standings) is publicly available for personal and non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. FTHA does not warrant that:

  • The Service will be available without interruption or error-free
  • The data and statistics are accurate or complete
  • The Service is fit for any particular purpose

This disclaimer applies to the fullest extent permitted by Finnish and EU law. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Finnish consumer protection legislation are not affected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish and EU law, FTHA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or statistics
  • Service downtime or unavailability
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Errors in tournament results or rankings

This limitation does not exclude liability for damages caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Finnish or EU law.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

10.1 By FTHA

FTHA reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at its discretion, with reasonable notice when practicable. Reasons for suspension or termination may include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Abusive or disruptive behavior
  • Extended period of inactivity
  • Request by law enforcement or regulatory authorities

10.2 By You

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting webmaster@poytajaakiekko.fi. Please note that publicly recorded tournament results (match scores, standings) will be retained as public sports records, though your name may be anonymized upon request.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections on intellectual property, disclaimer of warranty, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall remain in effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

FTHA reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

For significant changes, we may notify registered users by email.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to the Service or these terms shall be resolved in Finnish courts of general jurisdiction.

As a consumer, you also have the right to submit disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta):
